Portability and flexibility are a requirement in so many ways now that it makes sense to have that level of choice reflected in your individual pension plan too. Simple, secure, flexible and portable, the International Pension Plan provides retirement/savings benefits or can be used purely as an investment vehicle.
Our International Pension Plan is an investment accumulation account that is designed to fit around a changing work life.
Flexibility: The IPP is designed for use either as a savings plan, providing a cash lump sum payment, or as an annuity plan to provide periodic income payments from a future date. Annuity purchase rates are guaranteed and the current rates can be utilized at the time of actual retirement, if they are more favorable.
Portability: The plan can be funded in US Dollars or Pounds Sterling and the benefits can be paid practically anywhere in the world.
Partial Surrenders: The plan allows partial surrenders, but pay-outs must be a minimum of US $500, and the remaining balance in the plan should equal at least US $2,500.
Investment Portfolio
5-Year Minimum Interest Rate Guarantees: MetLife Alico offers five-year minimum interest rate guarantees for each deposit made during the policy year. The International Pension Plan fund is invested in High Grade Eurobonds whereby interest is credited at the end of each policy year.
Principal Guaranteed: MetLife Alico guarantees the principal paid into the International Pension Plan. No investment losses will impair the deposits made into the fund.
Investment Earnings: MetLife Alico may credit excess interest over the published minimum interest guarantees depending on market trends and investment performance. Historically, MetLife Alico’s crediting rates have been higher than the minimum guaranteed rates.
Eligibility
Minimum initial deposit is US Dollar 5,000. Further deposits to the Plan shall be equivalent to a minimum of US Dollar 500.

Payment modes
Payments can be made on a regular basis or as lump-sums.
